Week: 3 I can't think of a clever title for this week

This week I wrote two articles while I worked on a third. The two that I wrote had been more pop up articles, ones that I got and wrote within an hour or so. They were both done on the same day. The first one I did came from a tip that my dad gave me as he was driving down near Harrington, where he saw a lot of road signs warning about a truck convoy coming through the area on Saturday. it turns out that it was for the Delaware Special Olympics, a fundraising event. I interviewed a spokeswoman about it and was able to finish the article.  The second article I wrote was from the weekly COVID press release that Governor Carney puts on. I wrote about how specific areas of the state have been seeing an increase in COVID cases. all the information that I got was directly from that press release. The third article I have been working on for about a week and a half, it had only taken so long because I've been waiting for interviews, I will talk more about that next week.  https://delawar

Week 2: Writing about Politics.

This week I did 3 articles, 2 of them being politics related. First, I wrote about the primary election in Delaware on the 15th. The other I attended the trucking for trump rally that started in Christiana and ended in Dover. The third article I worked on was about a rise in COVID-19 Cases on the UD campus.  The first two I was very excited about, Being able to go out to these places and talk to politically active people is always fun, I talked to some very interesting characters, to say the least. It was also a really nice day out for the election and Trump rally so it was nice to be out of the house.  The third article I wrote about COVID cases at UD wasn't as interesting and I spoke to a lot of the people I normally talk to up there.

Week 1: Nascar and Newark

This week I wrote two articles for delawarelive.com. The first one was about the city of Newark, and how they have had a spike in COVID-19 cases since UD students returned. The second was a much lighter story, about a blood drive on the Dover International speedway.  For the first article, I got to talkt to public relations representatives from the university of Delaware and members of the Newark government. I tried to get in contact with the Mayor, who I have spoken with for qoutes before, but he wasn't available for comment. I also watched the weekly Newark city council meeting stream, there was nothing of value in the stream regarding my article.  This article can be found here:  https://delawarelive.com/2020/09/10/ud-reports-50-plus-cases-of-covid-19-among-students-most-from-early-testing/ The second article I wrote actually resulted in me leaving my room. I went to the Dover international speedway to check out a blood drive hosted by The Delmarva Blood Bank. I interview peopl
